...I know this is ridiculously old and overdue, but I finally got around to doing some new Aoi: Blue Sun art. This is Aoi's mother, Adjani with her star-crossed lover, Shin (from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers). This was back when I used to write about this series and how the water spirits came to be. They were an original idea I had that turned out really well and that I just stuck with for so long
Anyway, in another world, she was in love with Shin and he with her, but they couldn't be together because she's next in line to be the leader of her people and therefore must devote her existence to them. Beyond that, she will live on forever as the waters do and he, being human, is doomed to one day perish.
There was a contest recently that I wanted to participate in on DeviantArt.com that involved the Troopers, so I decided to revisit this idea and went for it. So, once again and for the first time in a long time, here's Adjani featured with my dear Shin.
